Maids & More Terms of Business

1.These Terms of Bussiness
All contracts for 'Maids & More' services are made on these Terms & Conditions only to the exclusion of any other terms & conditions, whether written or oral. No alteration to these terms is valid unless contained in a letter signed on behalf of 'Maids & More' by a Director.

2. Pricing & Payment
All prices are agreed as per in home free quote & can be subject to change. Existing customers will be given 30 days notice of any changes. There are two levels of pricing based on a regular Maid service (four consecutive Maid Cleans) or one off Maid Spring Cleans. We ask for payment ON THE DAY of the Maid service or chosen service. If you are not at home, customers are requested to leave payment for the Team in a prominent place, normally in the kitchen. We reserve the right to collect payments by recurring debit. Payment can be by cash, cheque, standing order or direct debit. If we are unable to gain access to the property as a result of customer failure to make reasonable arrangements for access; Maids & More will charge the full cancellation fee. The first Maid Clean & one off Maid Spring Cleans must be paid in advance. Handyman services are priced individually & charge by an hourly rate + any material to be paid on the day. Housekeeper services are charged by the day or week & services paid in advance.

3. Customer Cancellation/Non Delivery Of Services
Regular Maid Cleans (for classification after 4 Maid Cleans have taken place) we ask for 4 working days notice of a cancellation. Maid Cleans cancelled with less than 4 working days notice will be charged at 50% of the regular price. If we are unable to gain access 'Maids & More' will charge cost of the full the service price. Same ruling applies for Handyman & Housekeeping services

One-off Maid Spring Cleans - We request a min of 5 working days notice of a cancellation to avoid a full service/ fee charge. If we are unable to gain access 'Maids & More' will charge the full service price. Same ruling applies for Handyman & Housekeeping services

'Maids & More' Cancellation/Non Attendance Force Majeure
'Maids & More' will not be liable for any delay to our cancellation of the services caused by circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to fire, flood, weather conditions, strike, exceptional traffic circumstances, lack of adequate power or breakage or failure of machinery or apparatus). In such circumstances 'Maids & More' will use its best endeavours to arrange an alternative time suitable to both parties for the performance of its services. Where 'Maids & More' fails to carry out an agreed service due to circumstances within our control our liability shall be limited to providing the agreed service at no additional cost, charge at a mutually convenient alternative time & in no event shall 'Maids & More' be liable for other losses including loss of profit or consequential loss.

4. Equal Opportunities
'Maids & More' are an Equal Opportunities Employer & we select & employ our staff on the basis of their ability to do the work required. We aim to ensure that all employees are treated equally regardless of religion, gender, age, nationality, ethnic origin, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.

5. Health & Safety / Working Conditions
Our staff are not insured to tackle any job which could be deemed unsafe. Climbing on furniture is not something we would undertake. Reaching high areas on 'fit for purpose' steps or stools is permissible. We retain the right to withdraw from unsafe or dangerous to health environments & to report the problem. In this event the customer will be charge 100% for the cost of the Maid, Housekeeping or Handyman services. If the work can be re-scheduled after the hazard has been rectified, then we will need to charge the customer 50% of the cost of the original agreed fee together with the cost of the rescheduled work. Housekeeper & Handyman services same rules apply as stated above.

6. Use Of Customers Equipment
If you instruct our staff to use any of your equipment 'Maids & More' shall not be liable to any loss or damage. Note we do not supply irons or ironing boards or lawn mowers.

7. Liability For Key Holding
'Maids & More' undertakes to provide safe security for your keys at all times. In the event of any keys being lost by 'Maids & More' we will make appropriate arrangements as soon as reasonably possible. 'Maids & More' shall not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of delay caused by you.

Liability For Death Or Personal Injury
Nothing in this Contract shall limit or exclude 'Maids & More' for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Liability For Customers Property
We cannot accept responsibility for fading or damage to, kitchen work tops, wallpaper or painted surfaces, to carpets or soft furnishings or leather furniture if specially asked to clean them. Nor can we accept responsibility for damage to wooden floors if we are asked to clean with a damp mop. There is no guarantee for laundry or ironing services in the event an item was to change colour or accidental damage or shrinkage.

8. Complaints
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the service you receive from 'Maids & More', you should contact the office by 11 am the next working day. We will endeavour to ensure that any concerns or complaints are resolved quickly & amicably.

9. Compensation
'Maids & More' are fully insured in the event of damage or loss to your property as a result of negligence, the liability of 'Maids & More' shall be limited (at the discretion of 'Maids & More') to repair or replace cost of such item taking into account the age & condition. Our accidental damage insurance is subject to an excess of £250 & excludes damage caused by the use of abrasive products or the use & spillage of cleaning products or bleach. We do not provide cover for accidental damage for the first £250 of any loss. Please make your own insurance arrangements for the excess. 'Maids & More' shall not be in any event be liable for loss of profit or any consequential loss. Any claim for compensation should be made within 5 days of the said damage occurring. When claiming compensation, any claims must be notified to the 'Maids & More' office as soon as possible but in the event within 24 hours of the damage occurring.

10. Use Of Customer Information
The information you will give will be held & used by 'Maids & More' to perform the 'Business Services' for which we provide. We will use that information for communicating with you.

11. Employment Of Our Staff
You agree that you will not employ or engage any of our staff to clean or engage in any home related services for you within twelve months of the last time that a member of staff cleaned for you. If you breach this undertaking you recognize that this will cause us loss & as such you agree to pay us a referral fee for that staff member of £1750 which we both recognise as a genuine measure of our loss of profit & the cost of finding & training a replacement.

12. Bank Holidays
We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & Bank Holidays if your cleaning day falls on one of these days please call our office to arrange an alternative day to complete the service.

13. Governing Law
This agreement shall be subject to English law & the non-exclusive jurisdiction of English
